Keeping Conservation In Mind
“New Orleans is a unique setting, with incredible landmarks, culture, and history. I tend to gather around its inspirational architecture, churches and temples especially, because they are gathering spaces for the forces of nature that reside here, music, births, weddings, funerals.. all of it.
I try to curate that emotion in my work, and that’s part of my protective nature about this culture. It has to be protected and conserved so it can be handed to the next generation”.
