Inspired by the infusing and kaleidoscopic colors of a fancy cut pink diamond, “Argyle Pink” is another work in a series of strato-graphic paintings Marc has created by etching, sanding, smoothing, and abrading multiple layers of latex enamel paints, oil based stain, and varnishes. The work is reminiscent of Monet’s Giverny, though perhaps only accidentally.
